Regal Played A Part In Charity Fair That Raised Approximately RM200,000 for Hospice Centre
Regal Group played a part in an annual charity food fair organized by the Kuching Life Care Society (KLCS), that raised approximately RM200,000, for the construction of a hospice centre to provide care and support for terminally ill patients. With all proceeds to the fund, the Group donated some basic food supplies to be sold at the event held at Dewan Masyarakat Kuching Selatan (南市民众会堂), in Kuching, Sarawak, yesterday.
Participating in its first charity sales by KLCS, the Group and its employees hoped that this small act could offer some form of support to KLCS in aid of the less fortunate patients. “Some of the patients suffer from fatal incurable diseases. Our contribution is nothing compared to their pain,” remarked Raymond Jeong, one of Regal’s employees.
KLCS is a non-governmental organization (“NGO“) passionate about creating public health awareness and is actively involved in organizing blood and organ donations, community services and charity sales. The hospice centre, scheduled for completion by end of 2018, is KLCS’s new initiative to provide medical, counselling and moral support to patients and their families.
