Regal Joined the Dialogue Sessions with Malaysia and China Leaders in Guangxi

Representing Regal International Group Ltd. (“RIG” or the “Group”), Mr Dominic Su, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RIG, joined the two dialogue sessions with the Ministry of Agriculture Malaysia (“MOA”) and government leaders from Guangxi and Qinzhou, on 2 November 2016, during the Group’s visit to Guangxi, China.

During the dialogue sessions attended by YB Dato’ Sri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Minister of MOA, Mr Huang Haikun, Mayor of the People’s Government of Qinzhou and Mr Zhang Xiaoqin, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, who is also the Director General of CMQIP Administrative Committee, MOA agreed to set up a working committee to aid in all Halal-related activities in CMQIP and advance the development of export and import of Halal agricultural products globally. MOA is optimistic that Regal-CMQIP collaboration serves as an entry point for Malaysian Halal products to enter the lucrative Chinese domestic market.

Granted the sole and exclusive right to develop a Halal Industry Zone in CMQIP, Regal’s master plan to emerge as a cross-border platform connector for all Halal-related activities between Malaysia and China is further reinforced as Qinzhou is keen to arrange facilities and centres for Halal certification and review to support the development and research of Halal products in CMQIP. Moving forward, the Group combines its advantage on Malaysia’s widely accepted accreditation in Halal certification, and now a positive response from relevant Malaysian and Chinese government agencies on Halal Industry Zone, to heighten its strategic edge in CMQIP.

As an indication of ties strengthening between Malaysia and Qinzhou, some of the discussions also include the first set-up of import centres and facilities for Malaysia birds nest in Qinzhou and the establishment of E-commerce platform for agricultural products between Malaysia and China. The increasing collaboration between these two countries is expected to open up more investment opportunities for the Group to attain wealth creation and sustainability.

With favorable feedback from relevant Malaysian and Chinese government agencies, Regal’s foray into the development of Halal industries reflects the Group’s determination to be a cross-border investment gateway and platform connector between investors from Singapore, Malaysia and China. The Group believes that new potential revenue streams generated from Halal industries are expected to reap sustainable income for the Group’s stakeholders in the coming years.
