Regal Group Links Up with Sarawak Tourism Board to Promote Sarawak as Eco-Tourism Destination in Taiwan
Regal Group links up with Sarawak Tourism Board (“STB”) to promote Sarawak as an Eco-tourism destination in a three-day Taiwan tour of Mini Travel Seminar and in Taipei International Travel Fair 2016 (“ITF”) from 1 – 5 November 2016. The trip was set to both heighten Sarawak’s exposure to international travel operators and publicize Regal’s real estate projects.

Following the three-day tour of Mini Travel Seminar to Tainan, Changhua and Hsinchu on 1 – 3 November 2016, Regal was one of the six travel partners under the “Green Miracle Consortium” featured at the STB booth at ITF, which highlighted Sarawak tour packages to visitors. As the most popular travel fair in Asia-Pacific region and the biggest combined exhibition and sales event in Taiwan, ITF serves as an extensive platform for the marketing of the Group’s international brand awareness and its real estate projects. Regal Group as the only property developer during the event has garnered much potential interest on its Sarawak properties at Taipei World Trade Center – the hosting venue for ITF 2016.
The promotion of Sarawak as an Eco-tourism destination in Taiwan also represents part of the Group’s continued efforts to extend its business networking relations to include major players in the tourism industry as well as both Sarawak and Taiwan government, to explore further value-adding opportunities. Simply put, the focus of Regal-STB link-up lies connecting Sarawak to the world through the promotion of Eco-tourism and Sarawak’s properties, and eventually, enhancement of native properties values.

Regal also witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between STB and Taipei-based See Mark Travel Services to enable charter flights from Taipei to Kuching from next year onwards*. As the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak & Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Openg is confident to “negotiate for more charter and scheduled flights in the near future”, the Group believes that this initiative will improve connectivity into Sarawak, resulting in a possible growth of tourism and business opportunities into East Malaysia through stimulation of new demands.
The overall boost in tourism is also expected to help increase Sarawak property market’s visibility, generate demands, and in long term, strengthen property values.
